Here's a YouTube playlist of these songs for continuous listening
ICE-T, THE GLOVE, & DAVE STORRS - Tebitan Jam (Instrumental) [Taxidermi]
I think the most endearing part of this record is that Ice T features in it lol. Cameo aside, the production level in this record is LIT, making the instrumental tracks pretty special. Funky beats punctuated by spooky sighs, this one is a really dancy groove.
ERRORSMITH & MARK FELL- Protogravity [PAN]
This EP was the first collaborative single from electronic composers Mark Fell (one half of MMM) and Erik Wiegand. The synth building up in this is amazing, a really simple idea but flawlessly executed. With some pitched up ah’s and mm’s it makes you feel like you’re about to cast a spell lol. Fell loves a good collab, I think theres a lot of merit in artists that collab and create works under different monikers - I feel like it lends to their creative capacity, especially when its served up this red hot.
UNDERGROUND RESISTANCE - Post Emancipation Psychosis [UR]
This record is on my wish list. The sounds these guys come up with are almost erratic, I imagine it sounds like a team of bad guys walking down a dark tunnel in slow motion. V demonic, v bad 2 the bone.
CLARO INTELECTO - Operations [Modern Love]
Really into the subtle icey synth - this one is a PG rated spooky one - safe for kids. Claro Intellecto is always a sure bet for me and gets an A+ for his mad past album artwork.
PEV & KOWTOWN - Vapours [Livity Sound]
This track is a slow burner, guaranteed to get your spooky motor running. But when 1m 30 hits your with some tribal drums you get a real witch doctor/shaman/séance vibe.
DEBRUIT ft. OKAY TENIZ - The Bridge's Strings [ICI]
This whole album is amazing, highly recommend listening from front to back. The dirty drums and oriental sounds make you feel like you’re in Morroco or in a Jim Jarmoush film, or maybe both.
