Here's a YouTube playlist of these songs for continuous listening
DJ PULSE - Return Voyage [Moving Shadow]
One of my big time favourites from DJ Pulse. That 'touch me' sample gives me goosebumps! Close your eyes, bend your knees, not your back.
D'CRUZE - Heaven [Suburban Base Records]
Saw Ben UFO playing for the first time last year at a well known festival. He closed his hour and a half set with this track. Why 'music for... bending your knees' you ask? Here you go.
SOURCE DIRECT - Call & Response [Science]
Source Direct at his best. This has got to be one of the darkest and most evil drum & bass albums ever conceived. Fuck it’s dark in here but still funky some how! I was in the bush when this was played to me for the first time. I will never forget the sound of the two samples and the infinite loop resonating through the woods at night.
ALEX REECE - I Want You [Metalheadz]
Pure bliss when that bass line starts. Jazzy, juicy juice.
SPLASH - Babylon [Dee Jay Recordings]
Classic played by Don “Peverelist" at Freerotation last year. That dog barking and all those breaks drive me crazy, such a well constructed track.
AQUARIUS - Drift to the Centre [Looking Good Records]
Aquarius AKA Photek, clearly my favorite track from his Aquarius alias. I love reminding myself that this track is 22 years old now ant it sounds more futuristic than the future itself!
X FILES - Forbidden Medicine [Basement Records]
This is what Future Jazz sounds like. X File is another alias for Source Direct on Basement Records - one of my favorite labels which is run by Phil Wells.
